Fitting filter to boiler

M

marsaday

I am fitting a spirovent filter to my boiler and want to know if i can fit it to the return going upstairs, rather than the normal place which is on the return underneath the boiler.

Will it make any difference ?

The reason is that the pipe work will be boxed in and having the filter above the boiler means i can access it ok. here is a pic

What muppet put that gas pipe in like that?

Don' box that boiler or its pipe work in with anything semi permanent.

It will need changing sooner rather than later.

Can you answer the question though ???

The pipe work is terrible and is all free floating and not connected to the wall or anything. The boiler must have been fitted when a kitchen was in. I have just bought the place and am ripping the kitchen to bits so have exposed the pipe work.

My mate will be doing a service on it so i will ask him if he is happy with gas feed.

Fit it on the main return. If you don't then it'll not be as effective.
