Hi All,

Hoping for a bit of advice. HAve looked on other threads but can't seem to find something covering my exact problem.

I have Amtico floor tiles int he bathroom of my house and one of the tiles has started lift up (please see picture)

https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?u...c0221f43d71be&attid=0.1&disp=inline&safe=1&zw

As you can see it's right by the shower cubicle so need to get it sorted sooner rather than later.

How can I rectify this problem? I want to just squirt a bit of super glue under there and put a weight on it! Anything more technical than that I need to do?

Cheers

Rob

Super glue will stick it. Sometimes though its better to replace the tile.

I can't see the picture for some reason.

I was thinking super glue to be honest.

I'm moving out of the house soon, but keeping it for rental, so not too fussed, as long as it passes as fit for people to rent.

Spoken like a landlord.

Maybe you have a daughter who might one day end up in a rental with an asthmatic baby, and a landlord who's" not too fussed"?

Thanks for your super helpful reply. My comment about fit for rent was not meant to imply I would leave the house shabby or dangerous. I merely meant it needed to be fit for purpose so I didn't need to use official official Amtico adhesive.

I would in no way wish to endanger anyone or their children, particularly as I have a small child myself.

A more helpful reply could have pointed out the possible dangers of using superglue to stick the tile down and offer an alternative solution to the issue. If I knew of these things already I wouldn't need to ask for help on an Internet forum

Or you could always just keep the sarcastic comments to yourself. Just a thought...

That was not sarcasm - it was a critical observation based not on any possible implication but on what you posted.

"not too fussed, as long as it passes as fit for people to rent." - thats a bald claim with no obvious implication beyond what you said.

If you didn't mean to imply what you said, then why did you say it?

Anyhow, good to know that the house will be fit for purpose.

Any actual advice on the original question?
