My mother has a Baxi Brazilia balanced flue wall heater in each room of a small bungalow. She also has recently installed a combi boiler for hot water and 1 rad in the bathroom. Will it be more economical in heating costs if I replace the old wall heaters with conventional rads run from the new combi ?

have a look at the old gas bills. How many cubic metres of gas did she use in the last 12 months, which included a long, cold winter?

How thick is the loft insulation? Does it have cavity wall insulaton? These will give you the best £payback.

Thanks John, but the insulation is a constant, I'm asking what is the most efficient heating method, a rad or the baxi ?
She has all the insulation that the council 'warm front' initiative gave her a few years back, so would the cheapest method of heating the house be rads or staying with the baxi's ?
