Hi all
My daughters creda aqua wave 9.5kw shower is malfunctioning, I did some testing and it seems there's no power getting to one of the two heating elements in the water heater.
I'm no sparky though so was just really making sure nothing had come loose.
It doesn't seem worth looking into a repair considering the cheapness of a new unit against the extortionate prices creda want for spares.......
So a replacement is now required and budget is as low as is possible, I've seen these two showers on offer, the triton enrich 9.5kw @ £60 from screwfix
http://www.screwfix.com/p/triton-enrich-electric-shower-9-5kw/74867

Or the triton Madrid 2 9.5 kw @ £59.99 from argos
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8331977.htm

Both are ideally priced, can anyone suggest which one and why or suggest a closely priced alternative.
Many thanks
Chris

My experience of electric showers is that they are all made from the same pile of Shiite.

That said, avoid Gainsborough, just get one that matches the same pipe and cable inlets that you have now.

I've just fitted the Triton Enrich, to replace an 4 yr old Triton Ivory 2 and it fitted exactly. The pipe connections are identical as are the screw fixing holes. Took all of 45 mins to complete.
At £60 it's a good buy and I have had no problems with reliability.

Thanks for replies
I know electric showers are not the best but when one breaks it's so much easier to just replace the unit with something similar!.
If you're replacing a triton with a triton then yes I've seen they pretty much keep there fittings the same for ease of connection, I guess creda is the same but I hear nothing but bad reviews so will swap to triton.
By looks of it water inlet is in roughly same location, it's just the power feed that's on opposite side.
The two I've chosen seem almost identical so I guess it doesn't matter too much, I'll check if they offer the same guarantee period?
Might be worth the argos purchase and an extra warranty........
