fine toothed saw, spear n Jackson do a saw for upvc, and use a shallow cutting angle. I have used a mitre saw (slideing chop saw) in the past, just need a fine blade in.
Thanks steve I have a fine toothed hand saw but if you have a lot to do its too slow, I thought I might try the mitre saw but the blade I have in at the moment would not be fine enough is there a specific blade for pvc?
Yes use a non ferrous metal blade ie one that's cuts aluminium, also suitable for pvc, I use these in my big 300mm slider when I'm mitrering new beads in
We use our large De-Walt sliding compound saw and it just about cuts the whole width. We cut all plastic products with it including fascia, trims, gutter, downpipe, etc.
It does however blunt the tips so the blade has to go back to the sharpeners afterwards.
