hi all,

I have a triton shower (not electric) fitted in my bathroom, it was installed before i moved in so have no knowledge that would come from installation.

The cold tap has never worked, I'm sure its plumbed in and is available but nothing comes out. The tap is quite stiff and doesn't feel like its moving correctly.

Does anyone know how I get into the thing?! I have tried spinning the handle out but I cant seem to remove the head of the tap and i don't want to break it..

Pictures below, any help appreciated!
Thanks

Is there plastic inserts on either end, could be red and blue or silver. Flick them out with a terminal screwdriver or similar, probably screws inside where the inserts are. Unscrew the side you want, try some grips to open the spindle (it might just be the head sheared) if it won't turn then you might need a box spanner to remove the guts. TOP TIP :- put the plug in the bath to save screws/inserts going down the plughole.

Hi, thanks for the reply, this model doesn't have those caps.
This is like a whole silver cap that sits over the end, the while thing turns.
All I can see is the little bar handle that sticks out unscrews but I'm not sure what to do next. Thought the cap might just pull off but I can't seem to budge it. But scared of breaking it too!

If you unscrew them, is there a grub screw inside? Might require a small allen key to undo.
