Plastered Ceiling Is This Acceptable?

Not as bad as the attached but various trowel marks/holes. Would it be easier for it to be reskimmed than tahna filling holes and sanding?

I would say so, as long as it is sound ie stuck on properly .

I would not say it should look like glass, but should be uniform with the odd minor miss being acceptable as mentioned a few posts back

Depends how much works involved getting it up to an acceptable level.

Use easi-fill or similar.

i paid £300 to put myself through a plastering course a year ago. I can tell you now that work is awful awful awful..!
My plastering isnt perfect by any measure, but its perfectly acceptable.
Please tell me your getting this cowboy back to sort this mess out..!

Trying to patch with easi fill won't look to clever either. Esp when you get a lovely sunny day and the sun shines on the ceiling.

Do the whole ceiling again with a competent person. I'd ask for your money back from the bodger who did the ceiling.

How long did this bloke take to do the ceiling ????

The thing is that the defective work is visible and payment should have been witheld.I am an amateur and I know I can do better-it looks like a single coat that has gone off too quickly.its unbelievable.
