Can anyone please recommend the part I need -thanks in anticipation.

Your plumber should be sourcing the parts, not you.

Why-the plumber is doing me a favour, and I am trying to minimise her inconvenience.I am also a qualified plumber but do not engage in gas work.no doubt you are proficient in all aspects of the job,but I am happy to say I am still learning.

I suppose your comment is to disguise your ignorance

I would argue that the condensate drain is part of the flue system, and as such is Gas Safety Critical. Forum Rules come into play about the advice most RGI's would give. I also hope the 'plumber'(ette) is GSR registered

Oh, and Herts has a wealth of knowledge.

They are on the gas safe register-she that she is bored with men who call her a plumberette.I will not wind her up by reiterating your kind comments.

I felt the comment was rather abrupt, and possibly ignorant-what do you think?

Why do people come on here asking for advice and then 'bite the hand that feeds'?

Surely, a registered plumber should be able to source these sort of fittings with consummate ease?
Oh, you ARE a registered plumber.
OK then, maybe not.

Can't believe that a "qualified plumber" and an "rgi" can't figure out between them how to do this.

Best of luck with the boiler. And best of luck with the Vaillant.
