Not quite free diy stuff, but does anyone know if such a scheme exists?

Basically I've been doing lots of jobs this past year and have excess boxes of tiles, bags of adhesive, litres of nitromors, forests of lumber.

Maybe an exaggeration, but does any kind of scheme exist where I can just give this stuff that I don't require to a DIYer who only needs a small amount or perhaps wants to try that brand over this brand etc. ?

Daft idea?

Or Freegle, which in the UK was setup by the large number of ex-Freecycle local organisers who wanted a democratic organisation that is not under the ownership and control of the founder.

okay i will look into it. just looking up freecycle I have found a lot of negative reviews so will try freegle.

Freecycle probably depends on how your local list is managed. The list is only the way peple get in touch, it's still people giving stuff away at the end of the day. Mine is fine, but whatever works ;)

Cheers

An other local site, which should be in your area is freebay...pinenot :)

Stick it on gumtree for a few quid

My experience is if you offer something for free on freecycle everyone dives in saying they want it whether or not they plan on actually using it (or they just want it for the scrap value)

Also a freebie section on there.

What part of Kent always after free stuff. ;)

I advertised in my local shop - six bags of aggregate fee to collector. It was gone within half an hour.
