Anyone painted their windows in cream?

Bit of a random question. Just bought a place in a conservation area and they advised they would prefer the wood painted in cream, I was going to paint them white. I am not totally against it but I am worried that cream will not keep its colour and will just look dirty further down the line.

Any advice appreciated.

Back in the day I think a lot of windows were painted cream, as was my first house. Dulux Buttermilk if memory serves (which it often doesn't).
Shouldn't look any worse than white regarding dirt and certainly won't go yellow!

My brother has recently renovated a house and they did the woodwork in Magnolia. Seemed "not quite right" at first sight, but then after a short time you just don't notice it - and in some ways it's better than brilliant white.

As always when painting: your chosen colours will be affected by the surrounding colours, so with regard to painting in cream - it will look absolutely fine as long as there isn't alot of white paint anywhere close as then it will look as though it hasn't been painted yet.

Have used RAL 7001 on my own windows, and it looks great. Would recommend it.
