Hi All,

I have just laid a Travertine floor, and know that I have to seal it before I grout, and then clean, and re-seal when the grouts dry.

Can someone please advise me what products to buy to do this with?

I'm going to be doing the walls as well, so will need sufficient amount to cover all.

Total area is around 24 mtrs and its a bathroom, with just a shower and sink in it.

thanks in advance.

Thanks for responding.

I,m more concerned about whether or not putting sealing on it (like BAL protective sealant) will be an issue.
I read someplace that if the sealant gets in the grout lines , the grout wont set. Is this true?

Should i not be concerned about that and just wipe it over prior to grouting.?

After the grouting is done, ill use a matt sealant to coat the tiles and give a natural finish.

use a good sealer like lithofin, seal the tiles and let the sealer thoroughly dry, sealer in the grout line gap will not stop the grout from sticking to the tiles. Obviously DO NOT soak with sealer, apply sparingly
