ford fiesta 53 reg heater vents

the vent selector on my heater doesn't appear to be working! this is doing my head in now. i can shut the front vents, but ive constantly got hot air blowing at my feet! ouch!!! does anyone know if this is easy to fix? presumably i'd have to take the heater control surround off, which i think i'll be doing soon anyway to get at the back of the stereo.

would a ford garage fix it for free, still being under warranty and all?

Hello mate,firstly if your car is under 3 yrs old they should look at it under warranty.some ask for service history but i feel this is not service related in any case.If its not remove your radio and check the cable is located in the knob and also in the heater housing.Really simple to check and refit.
