Scrim tape

Just as a matter of interest how do you apply your scrim tape. I have used a parcel tape dispenser for over 25 years. I have had to do a few modifications over the years with it but it still works. Anybody else use anything similar or one of those holders that were made for the job. I tried one once but couldn't get on with it...

Always by hand Roy, whether it's fiba scrim tape or paper tape.

I use a filling knife that is just wider than the scrim, gets it on flat quickly and flattens it into angles properly.

I find that this is the most efficient after trying other ways eg trowel, Stanley knife etc.

RC and others will remember jute

by hand and flatten in with my trowel saves carry more toys with me afterr all iv got my speedskims plazies spats water bottles an all the other crap i carry along with bog roll

Maybe the knife would be hadn't if you forget the bog roll!

I keep the knife in pocket for scrimming, cleaning the trowel when floating etc.

It fits into the taper of boards unlike a trowel too.

Worth a try!
