Rendering courses in Scotland.

Hello everyone,

I've bought a house that needs renovating and I'm planning to do it myself so no doubt I'll have a million bad questions over the coming months however here's my first one:

The job that needs doing on my house first is the replacement of all the old render, it's really bad looking and some of it looks ready to fall off anyway.

My brother will be the lead on the job with me helping. He's a plasterer with 18 months experience.

Does anyone know of a rendering course in Scotland which he can attend before we have a go at the job? We don't want to do it without some form of instruction beforehand.

I've been looking into attending some courses at able skills in Dartford because I live down that way, is there any school like that in Scotland? I can't find anything!

Jusdt to throw a spanner in the works why not use a monocouche render???? just saying lol or a thin coat system??????
