worcester bosch v Vaillant

Builders constructed the great pyramids thousands of years ago and people flock to see these awe inspiring impressive creations.

No one flocks to see boiler installations or electrical wiring. In fact they would rather it was hidden from view.

Mate, this is the worst analogy i have ever heard, are you being serious?

You think anyone wants to see your crappy boiler installation?
Get real.

No, does anyone alive want to see current construction methods, do you think we are in some sort of architecture boom?

Building is an art and a science. Way more complex than lashing a combi to a wall with a few screws.
Get over your self.

Regulated trades my friend, they are beyond builders by quite a far margin else you wouldn't be calling yourself a builder.

So you think that by working in a trade that has regulations, that somehow entitles you to stick your chest out and say " look at me"?

Funny because I've been working to b'regs all my working life and I have never felt that way.

You need to swat up boyo.

Oh and can you let me know when the building trade was de-regulated please.

Worra narcissistic plonka!

And so, as the last bit of tumbleweed leaves the town of W v V, the 'tradespeople' jostling for position at the finale, leave the OP and anybody still reading this far still completely baffled as to which if any Gas Appliance to choose.

Fairly typical in DiyNot as it happens….

I won't comment on the quality of the boilers or otherwise, but the above is an outrageous and probably libelous statement.

I would make sure that your quotation is amended to reflect the change of boiler if you go ahead. Also check in the warranties and terms.

Make sure the system is properly cleaned or you WILL have warranty validity problems.

To build something awe inspiring requires an architect. The builders are more or less exchangeable. Which however doesn't make them less important.

History suggests that Master craftsmen i.e. Master masons and Master carpenters were taken into higher regard than their architect counterparts and were less disposable and had a large input into the design process also.

Yes, but these master craftsmen were top notch people involved in the planning and supervising of the building project. They did not represent the masses of builders who did all the manual work.

A shame, by the way, that masters craftsmen hardly exist any more in this country and that the trades are flooded with people who are at best semi-skilled.

Er no, but these were the "builders" that Norcs was referring to.
Geddit?

Sure, but these old-world master builders were not the type of present-day "builders" that Gavin the plumber was talking about.

I carn't recall the pyramid's being built around a steel frame with breeze block and plasterboard within a couple of week's !!!.The two in no way can be compared!!!!.

Back to the topic.

Plastic parts in both, I think Vaillant may still have flexi hoses that leak after a while (I could be wrong with the flexi hoses as replacement parts are now copper).

So neither.

Intergas installed by a Platinum Installer (look on Intergas website). Fewer parts to go wrong. Condenses in hot water mode (more efficient) whereas many other combis only condense in heating mode depending on CH return temp.
