Hi - Halstead Best 40 boiler has popped its clogs so I'm getting a new Worcester B (choice of 2 models - Greenstar 24i Junior or 28CDi Compact) and would appreciate some advice re - 1. Whether to keep all 7 of the 32 year old rads, which are working fine except for one that weeps slightly from below the valve and have the system power flushed, or 2. Go for nice shiny new rads and presumably the installer will just have to do the usual recommended cold/hot cleans.
Will it make much difference price wise? Would new rads help "protect" the boiler.
Either way I am having a filter fitted - it was going to be the Fernox TF1 but a WB accredited fitter said if I pick WBs own (about the same price - £100) I would get one years extra guarantee.Any one any thoughts on the rad choice or the filter please?

Hi.
The rads maybe new but the pipework will be old. A good powerflush will be the manufacturers requirement.
