I am looking to put a land drain in my garden which is really boggy and full of moss. In the corner of the garden we have an old cesspit which I wondering if I can drain into, it seems like it drains somehow as it hasn't filled with water in the recent bad weather. Any reason why shouldn't use this and is it likely to be draining ok if it hasn't filled with water in recent rain.

It is under a few paving slabs so have been able to lift them to inspect the pit.

Is 60mm pipe ok for garden use or should I use bigger

If its perforated pipe 60mm will be fine, i used to have a landscaping business and often drained gardens and that was roughly what size i used, just make sure you get plenty clean stone around the pipe so the holes dont block up :)
