Guys, got a passing divertor valve on a 80SP VOKERA.

Had this problem with a linea and got the service kit, pretty basic repair.

got the kit for the EXCELL / ECLIPSE and just wondering as it comes with the diaphrams etc, do I just replace the divertor section and how easy is it to do so with the fulcrom arm being in front of the valve..

No ther problems with switches making etc just rads heating when h/w is on..

anyone whos done this let me know hopefully as easy as the linea !

I always replace the whole lot.

A worn DHW diaphragm can also cause that fault as it doesn't push the fulcrum arm far enough.

Change everything and you can't go wrong

Dont forget to clean the push rods and lubricate with silicon grease

Take the fulcrum arm off for access to the divertor

Just as easy as a Linea ;)

cheers mate ! how time consuming is this for the lot though ??
and is there a best way like DV first or DHW diaphram ? nothing worse than doing something the long way !

I can do the lot in an hour.
But i have done hundreds.

I usually go this way.

Isolate and drain boiler
Remove fulcrum arm
Remove micro switches
Change DHW diaphragm & front seal (clean and lube push rod)
Change boiler flow switch diaphragm & front seal (clean & lube push rod)
Change Diverter bobbin/washer/o ring/front seal/ figure of 8 seal. (clean & lube push rod)

TIP: Take the two side screws out of the brackets that hold the whole botton section of the boiler up and let it drop down.
It makes it much easier to gain access.

I once had a failed diverter valve although the main diaphragm was fine.

I could not really identify exactly what had failed but replaced all the bits and it worked. My best guess was that the internal part was not moving under spring pressure.

I have only replaced two and found them fiddly although thats usually the case with boilers in cupboards.

steel wool or emery paper then grease with silicon lube, I have a very fine file that I use but I do lots

Cheers ianmcd

Inside the Diaphram housing looked like a fair amount of lime scale, would you clean this out and if so how, would you use a descaller

just checked you user name again and we know each other M call Bru and ask for my number and i will sort you out mate no problem, Billy from the Gtree many years ago

sorry Kev looked at post and it started with mmalone who I know but havent seen for a long time , advice on lime scale is not my forte mate as I live in a soft water area, i do however know the boiler you are talking about inside out so any advice you want just ask

Scatmanjohn, me thinks one of us is has seen the other carrying out that task. On occasions I have removed the diverter cover with fulcrum arm in place if fulcrum pivot difficult to remove. Rarely change the bobbin washer unless it is in form of earlier tyre type
