Replacment cooker switch

Hi guys need a little advice on replacing cooker switch with a new chrome one but on the switch I'm changing there are two small white wires in the middle of connections as in picture attached but the replacement switch has none,does this matter when replacing.ps I am in Southern Ireland thanks for any replies

Robert, while you are at it, please sort out that bare copper conductor showing on the neutral terminal.
 
Thanks for the replies I'll sort the bare wire when I change the switch.the new switch doesn't have the terminals for the two small white wires but it still has a light on the front so do I just connect the other cables as normal thanks
