Can anyone please help ??
I have a Camray 5 oil combi boiler and for the past couple of years I have had to top the pressure up during winter months(only when heating is on)
I cannot see any leaks around radiators or boiler areas.
I had a new diverter valve and expansion tank replaced last year due to leaks and although the topping up became a lot less frequent I still need to do it every week or so.As we live in an old cottage and all the pipework is under oak floor it is virtually impossible to gain access.
Has anyone any ideas as to how I can detect the leak or any other suggestions as to what could be the problem.
Many thanks

Hi
Have checked and double checked the valve connections and i,am 100% they are ok

You may not spot any water leaks, but that does not mean there are no micro leaks, so I would check they are tight up.
Also check bleed valves and capped end of rad.

If it's needed a new expansion vessel it could have damaged the valve seat on the PRV, making it pass slightly. You can put a bag over the pressure relief pipe outside to see if there's anything dripping out of it, and if there is, is it enough to cause a pressure drop?
If nothing comes out you know you've definately got a leak somewhere. The water can only go out of the PRV, or leak out the system somewhere.

thanks for the replies
Mickthegas - someone told me sealers can block the fins in the boiler and is only a temp solution is this the case in your experience?
More than happy to give it a go
Has anyone else tried the sealers

Hi will def give it a go, can you tell me where I can buy it from?
Cheers
