Not a disaster really but the most appropriate forum I think(If it's in the wrong forum can the mods please move. ta)

Went to work on Wednesday morning and only lasted two hours before needing to go to hospital.

That's not uncommon with that type of injury - the blood only comes when you pull the nail out.

I'm going to guess that someone was using a nail gun and forgot the cardinal rule - never put your hand in front of the tool.

No blood, no pain! We Yorkshire men give absolutely nothing away! :LOL:

I was nailing some studs to a sole plate, the nail gun slipped and next thing was only 15mm of a 90mm nail left showing. Fortunately it missed everything of any importance(bone, tendons, blood vessels etc).

Considering between the two benches(one man on each bench) in the factory we fire around 3000 90mm nails and a few hundred 65mm nails every day the odds have been pretty good(been there for 10 months so circa 650k nails used).

A few of the lads went drip white and one almost fainted when he saw it. Hopefully back working next week. :D
 
Never managed it that bad.

Though when I do manage an opps, my general response is to laugh like an idiot and show everyone :unsure:

Fubar.
