I've got a very slow emptying sink. I've removed as much visible gunk from straight pipes and elbows in areas I can access but it's still not 100%

Is there a drain cleaning solution you can recommend that will clean the inaccessible pipework and joints or should I try one of the flexible corkscrew drain cleaners available from most places?

I would use a sink auger first of all to make sure the waste water is running away albeit slowly, then use 'One shot' drain cleaner.

Warning - sulphuric acid so follow the instruction carefully and do NOT leave in the pipe work too long or the pipes will melt.

Or if you don't fancy that you could always try a Mr Muscle sink unblocker.

Often the best and free solution can work very well. Fill the sink as high as you can and cover any overflow holes with a flannel of towel or something. Then get a wrag/flannel or cloth and whilst covering the overflow plunge up and down over the waste which creates enormous suction and may work for you. You may get a little wet but works very well. Basically doing the job of a plunger.

HG Drain (Liquid drain unblocker)
Does exactly what it says on the tin.
Contains Sodiumhydroxide.

The directions say "if swallowed, rinse mouth out (only if the person is conscious)"
