A perforated membrane to allow soakaway, and I do have two sheds, now joined into one...pinenot :)
 
If it's perforated, yes. An old tonne bag, like sand is delivered in, would do, just needs perforated a lid...pinenot :)

no dont use weed fabric it is not permeable enough and so will clog much quicker. You'd be better off not using one at all.

You need to use a purpose made geotextile product. The most common would be terram 1000 or an equivalent from another mftr. Their permeability will be many times as much as a weed fabric.

You can buy them in small sheets usually.
 
You have a valid point, but I'm constantly reminded that it'two sheds stuck together! :)
