I recently had a storm porch built, the floor is concrete and to floor it I thought I would use tiles but before I do that I need to level the floor.

I was thinking of using some self leveling compound but before I do that, before the door there is a row of interior bricks with a dpm over it before the exterior ones that the door frame is resting on, the space between the brick is filled with expanding foam.

Obviously if I just pour self levelling underlay over the bricks and foam, over time it will just crack.

Could I :-
1: remove the DPM that's over the bricks
2: remove a 1 inch layer of the foam
3: fill that 1 inch gap with cement
4: When the cement is dry and hard cover the bricks and cement with a dpm

Once done properly clean and prep the surface and cover with the self levelling compound.

Don't cut the dpm, how much does the floor need to come up? The cavity area is so close to the door that I wouldn't worry about chopping out foam etc... Just prep the floor, tack the membrane down and screed over

Thanks for the reply, I do sometimes make more work for myself than's necessary.

The floor doesn't need to come up much, there's a difference of bout 5mm between the top of the cement and the top of the first row of bricks and 2 inches between the top of the bricks and the bottom of the door.

I was mainly worried about covering it all in creed and because the screed is over the foam the screed and the tiles would crack.

So I had the idea of scraping out some of the foam, adding dpm between the two rows of bricks, fill with mortar to create a more stable surface then screeding it.

probably as the gap is so small and the tile should be able to reach the other row of bricks, and because it can't get stepped on, probably the tiles wont crack, even from the opening and closing of the door over time.
