I recently had a storm porch built, the floor is concrete and to floor it I thought I would use tiles but before I do that I need to level the floor.
I was thinking of using some self leveling compound but before I do that, before the door there is a row of interior bricks with a dpm over it before the exterior ones that the door frame is resting on, the space between the brick is filled with expanding foam.
Obviously if I just pour self levelling underlay over the bricks and foam, over time it will just crack.
Could I :-
1: remove the DPM that's over the bricks
2: remove a 1 inch layer of the foam
3: fill that 1 inch gap with cement
4: When the cement is dry and hard cover the bricks and cement with a dpm
Once done properly clean and prep the surface and cover with the self levelling compound.
