DIY Internal french doors and frame... and a bit clueless!

Hello,
Never done this before but I am going to put in couple of doors (1981 x 762) between living room and dining room and had some questions if someone can advise. If it sounds like I don't know what I am doing....

I cant seem to find a premade door frame do I need to get the timber myself? What dimensions would you advise (3 inch wall with dot and dab 12mm plasterboard either side)? I was thinking something about 120mm deep?

... then I would need the door stop bead, what size is this?

Is it a good idea to use a pair maker. Just wondering as this will obviously affect the width measurement?

With regard to measurements, what would you add to the width of the two doors? I was thinking 4 mm. Is this OK? (i.e. frame width 2 x 762 + 4mm = 1528)

Would you allow 20mm at the bottom of the doors?

Are you sure you mean French doors or simply double doors? You see, French doors were exterior opening out doors, although nowadays this has become somewhat confused.
As for fitting a pair of doors or, double doors, solid, louvre or 15 pane glazed doors? and do they require to lock or just simply form a partition of sorts?? ...pinenot

,,,ah these will just be double doors, glazed (maybe part glazed) not sure yet on the style. There will be no need to lock them as they are really just to separate to living areas

Then you can simply go for swing/saloon type hinges, employing either integral or floor/door mounted hold open, when you want them to stay open...pinenot
