Gravity Fed Hot and Cold Water - Shower Issues

Hi

So I have posted before with an issue because the shower which is attached to the main bath taps could not mix properly, apparently it was an uneven pressure issue - so a plumber has run a new feed fro the cold water from the tank in the attic (it was from the main before) and he charged me £360 for the pleasure. We can now mix and get a decent temperature, but the water is so slowwwww, any ideas on how to increase the pressure so we can have decent shower

Pump, more expense and often noisy, but gives you a better shower.

Instead of installing a crap cold feed, you should have upgraded the hot feed with a mains pressure hot cylinder.

So far this has cost me £60 for a plumber to say I need a pipe from the tank and then a further £360 to do the work (not bad for 2 hours work)

and while I can mix the temperature properly the pressure is so poor its useless.

Pointers appreciated.

Is your shower fed from 22mm pipe?
My own gravity system has only 2m head, and I use a Mira shower mixer - its excellent.

Thanks for the reply, Im not a plumber so forgive me if the terms I use are incorrect.

Currently there is the hot and cold and they are 15mm going to the taps on the bath, and the shower screws on to the top of the taps.

looking at the Mira it seems to need its own 2 pipes ?

Forgive me for not reading your post fully - although the same applies!
I'll stick my neck out and say that all gravity showers need a 22mm feed, both hot and cold - and that applies to yours.
Another important issue is the diameter (and length) of the hose going from the taps to the shower head.....the bigger the diameter the better, and 10mm replacement hoses are useless.
I guess its an appropriate shower pump for you, at the end of the day

Thanks for that, a larger hose is a thought, reading online it does seem that a pump would do the trick , i can see how they work and fitting actually does not seem to difficult - probably get 2 or 3 plumbers to quote and see what happens
