I recently put a cleaner solution in my header tank, then the hot water when heated by my back boiler had a brown tinge to it. I emptied the system and put an inhibitor in and then refilled. When the hot tap water was not heated it was fine but as soon as the heating went on hot water and rads it turned a tinge brown again. Any ideas please. :?: :?: :?:

Hi

Its possible the coil in the hot water cylinder is leaking or
If the building is quite old the pipes are metal and these are corroding.

Dan, I am thinking poss Primatic Cylinder? OP did not mention 'small' tank in roofspace.

or as said, pinholed coil
