Hi.
When we run a bath for over appx 4 mins (hot tap), we get a roaring noise through the pipes. This only stops when we turn on the cold tap half on for a few secs on the bath or anywhere else upstairs. We have purged the hot pipes from the cold by looping the washing machine pipes downstairs and giving them a run a few times for 30 secs hoping to get rid of an airlock back to the tank, with no luck. Could this be a sticking ballcock in the loft tank? :(

More than likely you will need to replace the ball valve in the cold water storage cistern.

Thanks for the message. Will give it a try. Are most a universal fitment nowadays, not too bad to change?
