Hi guys,
I was wondering what do you guys use to cut T&E with a CSA of 6MM and above? If I do become registered, it could be 10mm T &E I'll be cutting with my CK side cutters. I mean 6mm is a little of a struggle for me. I doubt I can cut 10mm without using a hammer. What can I say am weak lol and I don't want to look like an idiot in front of customers.

I was thinking of a pair of these

Google "cable croppers" not sure about T+E but good for 25mm singles
Some even have rachet mechanism to ease cutting

The shears the OP linked to are ok up to 6.0mm T&E but 10mm will not fit in the jaws. They are also good upto 25mm singles. After that you need to look at ratchet cutters.

don't try to cut all the way through at once. cut one core then move the snips forward and cut the cpc then the last core.

Think you are going to need more than some side cutters to become 'registered'

That's very true, however I already have all the qualifications / tools I need to become part P registered at the very least. That includes a 17th edition tester, of course.

Thanks for the advice guys. I can always count on old hands to help me out in times of need/ embarrassment. Shouldn't be long now before I can contact Nappit to become registered. Wish me me luck my mentors!!
