Boulder camray 5 water discharge

Hi all
I have a camray 5 that keeps discharging water through the discharge pipe outside.it does this randomly with or without the central heating running.
I have two pressure gauges on the system and they both read 1.5 bar.
i'm sure the gauges used to work together but now they seem independent.
IE the one on the front of the boiler will read 0 but the one on the wall still shows 1.5 bar. I have checked both gauges and they seem to work fine.
When I charge the boiler only the gauge on the boiler moves.
I have replaced the pressure relief valve that's connected to the discharge pipe and the pressure regulator that's just before it but this has made no difference. My system is connected to a large hot water storage tank.
I have also checked the pressure in the expansion vessel on the front of the boiler.
The pressure on the gauges never goes above 1.5 even with water dripping out of the discharge pipe.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

If water drips at 1.5 bar through a new 3 bar pressure relief valve,then something is wrong.
How did you check the gauges?
Are you sure the gauges both monitor the same circuit?
How did you check the expansion vessel? Was it isolated from the boiler?
What is the pressure regulator before the relief valve?

Are you sure you are not getting the primary circuit mixed up with your DHW?

I checked the gauge on the wall by undoing a drain cock further along the same pipe just before it goes into the cylinder(marked primary flow)
The pressure showing on the gauge went down as I released the water.
This gauge is connected in between a pump and a straight through motorised valve.
The other gauge is on the front of the boiler and goes down regularly due to the water loss.
I have assumed that the gauges are working ok as they move and are not stuck?
I'm not sure if the gauges monitor the same circuit but I only have one way to charge the system so I have assumed that they do.
I checked the expansion vessel by removing it from the boiler, inflating it to 10psi and rechecking the pressure the following day.
The pressure reducing valve is on the wall before the relief valve, it is new and is a fixed pressure type fixed at 3bar.
The relief valve is new and set at 8bar.
I'm not sure if I am getting the primary circuit mixed up with your DHW how can I tell?
It seem that the gauges will both go up when charging but the one on the wall takes along time.IE if the gauge on the boiler shows 1.5 bar the one on the wall shows 0bar if I leave it for say 30mins the one on the boiler shows
0.5 and so does the gauge on the wall.it seems as though there is a blockage somewhere between the two?
The flexible hose to the ev does seem to have some kinking in it could that cause the problem?
Would some photos help?

You appear to have a pressurised DHW system and a sealed heating system.
You need to consult a professional who can establish which part of your system is causing problems. One pressure gauge will monitor the primary heating system, and the other should monitor the secondary water pressure. The one on the front of the boiler is the primary heating circuit and will rise when you charge the filling loop. The other should monitor the secondary water and will go up and down when the water heats up and cools. When you replaced the expansion vessel, what pressure did you charge it to?
A kinked hose can cause problems, but any problems on the secondary circuit should be dealt with by a certificated technician for mains hot water systems,

I charged the ev to 10 psi
I am sure that both the gauges used to work together
Last night I drained some water from the system and the gauge on the wall went down immediately but the one on the boiler took about 1 hour to show reduced pressure .
The boiler would not fire with the pressure reduced so I charged it to 1.5 bar on the front gauge which showed immediately but the gauge on the wall was still showing .75 bar and the boiler would not fire.
This morning the gauge on the front of the boiler shows 1 bar and so does the gauge on the wall and the boiler now works again.This makes me think that there is a blockage somewhere in the system.
The hot water cylinder in a heatrae sadia megaflow with an Emerson heater in the bottom.
As the system is quite old do you know where I might be able to find an engineer who knows what they are looking at in the colchester area of Essex?
The last engineer to look at it took 3 attempts to repair a leaking oil pipe replacing it with a new pipe with the wrong connection on the end leaving it loose with oil leaking from the joint which would not tighten!
 
You are messing with something that is potentially dangerous. If you have changed a 7 bar safety valve for a 10 bar unit, how do you know that the system will take the extra? This is the reason anyone working on these units needs to be certified! Fortunately you are far enough from me for me not to worry, but if I were your neighbour, I would be worried. Look on U tube for exploding hot water cylinder. The pressure in your boiler has no correlation to its firing, oil boilers are not the same as gas in that respect.
Consult a reputable plumber with the necessary accreditation.

I have not changed a 7bar safety valve for a 10bar unit and I would certainly NOT do something like that!!
Where can I find someone who is certified and knows what they are doing to repair my system?
 
I would suggest consulting your local directories and checking certification with them, or ask your neighbours for recommendation.
