Hi, I have a Premier Elite 24-W but have an issue with a zone set to guard access.
The front door has a contact and is set as Entry/Exit 1. The wireless PIR in the hall which looks at the door is set-up as Guard Access. It is in hybrid mode and seems to work fine.
My assumption was the PIR would be in Guard mode unless the system is in entry/exit or part-set mode. If in guard mode I thought it would set the alarm off on the keypad and the siren instantly when there was movement - like all the other PIRS do.
By pure chance I found out that if you actually walk past the PIR when the system is fully armed it doesn't set the alarm bells off (however looking at the wireless keyfob you can see the alarm is active, but no bells and nothing on the keypad etc). But when you unset the alarm it does say there was an alarm on that zone, just no siren etc. The is an issue as someone could get in the window next to the door and go into the adjoining storeroom or under stairs cupboard etc with no audible alarm going off.
The PIR works fine in part-arming as it detects us come down the stairs and starts the countdown etc.
Has anyone seen something similar happen or have any tips? I do have wintex but can't spot any obvious setting that may be causing this - though may have missed one! Thanks in advance!
