Hi, just wondering if anyone can advise me on this!
All day now my boiler seems to have been in emergency mode with the red flashing light and switching on/off every few minutes. I've had this problem with it periodically in the past (I have only lived here 15 months, boiler was here when I moved in and it's happened 5 or 6 times now) and usually all I need to do is change the batteries in the thermostat and reset the boiler, then it's fine. However, i've done this today and it is still doing it. I've even changed the batteries twice and tried re-setting/switching off at the plug and nothing is stopping it. It's extremely frustrating and obviously being the middle of summer, I can really do without my heating being on and off all day, i'm baking!
Going to go out and get some stronger batteries tomorrow in case that is the problem but other than that, I don't know what to do. Going to just switch it off at the plug over night as I don't want it switching on and off constantly all night
I would be really pleased if anyone could offer me any advice, i'm a 24 year old, DIY clueless woman and I don't want to mess with it because knowing my luck, i'll make it worse! Thanks!
