Hi all, our trenchfill foundations are set too high. Just confirming if i can cut a 7.3 dense concrete block-suitable for under dpc use, along the long side so I get a 40mm high block? (40x 440x 100) all other courses are eng. Bricks.

This will help match the existing dpc level(6 courses 4 years old extension). Its either this or use 5 courses with a ~20mm bed depth. It is single storey- 2sqm ext. Thank you.

I would think it easier to cut a course of bricks to 40mm, or use two courses of brick slips.

Cut them down with a stihl saw wet cut tho dont want the dust or brick slips better to use whats to hand really save on costs

thanks guys, i went for cutting the blocks down.. crazy amount of dust. A really good fitting mask and/or anti fog glasses a must.

i'll keep the brick and slips in mind. Will be renting a stihl saw for the cavity wall. fancied renting the allsaw but engineering bricks will be too hard i think. cheers.
