Hi,

Im looking to use my garage all year round and not just in the summer.
does anybody have any advice on the best way to insulate and keep warm a freezing garage?

my initial plan is to:

install a central heater,
insulate the garage door which is metal using something like celotex foam,
insulate the concrete floor using something like Eco-Tec floor insulation http://www.ecohome-insulation.com/products/ecotec-floor-insulation-kit

only the back wall and front (garage door) are exposed. is it neccasary to insulate the other two wall as these will have units/cupboards on.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

So basically a "back door" garage conversion without adhering to building reg's?

No. More like bed in shed😀.insulate all walls with ceiling. Will be toasty warm.

What he's asking is are you doing it by the book? Cos that prolly has a bearing on how you do it.

No no, I don't want to do anything major. All I'm looking to do is add a heater and wanted to know the best & cheapest way to insulate the garage.

I will not be able to infill the garage door as I live on a new development which doesn't allow garage conversions.

So basically, how can I make my " garage" warmer?
