Hi, can anyone help me with my boiler. The heating isn't coming on although I am getting hot water no problem. The salus remote thermostat is showing a flashing flame whenever I adjust the required temperature which I presume is telling the boiler to fire up - which it does but nothing happening with the radiators?? The display panel on the boiler is saying "no heat demand". It seems as though everything is working fine but no hot radiators.......help!

not sure about that make but most have a remote sensor box wired to the boiler for the stat to comunicate with. they often have a button you can press to bring the heating on manually. you may just need to replace the batteries in the stat.

Hi, i changed the batteries and still the same problem. The stat and receiver are definitely talking to the boiler as it kicks in whenever i adjust the temperature setting on the stat.

I've checked the rads and they are all bled....don't know what else to try????

You say the boiler "kicks in" ( whatever that means ).

But you are not getting any heat to the rads.

Have you checked the heating isolate valves underneath are both open?

Can you watch the display immediately you operate the stat and tell us what it shows.

What do you mean by "kicks in" ?

Tony

Sorry, i mean the boiler starts up. I will check the isolate valves....(at work at the moment)

The display on the boiler shows the radiator sign as if its heating the water for the heating system but nothing seems to be going to the radiators...

The line on the ISO valves should be in line with the pipes that is from back to the front.

Are all the rads turned on?

If all this fails it sounds like a failed or jammed diverter valve! ( Usually failed ) Although it can also be a faulty PCB !

Probably need a helpful engineer!
