Hi my daughters laptop last week wouldnt load up. Vaio comes on the screen then the screen just stayed pink. now its only staying dark blue as its about to do something but nothing happens. any ideas ?

Bios is the motherboards operating system (so to speak).
Normally a message on start-up tells you how to get into bios (for example, press DEL to enter set-up).
If you can get into bios OK, then probably not hardware related.
