So, as a Muslim lover, what would be your answer to all the hatred against you and your ilk? 
Would you keep OUR soldiers in the third world countries and let them get on with it or try to stop the mass killings in all countries?

Can you tell us why we continually intervene in the middle east and yet fail to "try to stop the mass killings" in places such as Rwanda?

We intervene through self interest ... And ISIS is a threat to humanity, not just the west.
Whilst some of our previous interventions were carried out on the basis of promoting the development of democracy ... Or our interest in oil if you're a cynic ... and maybe questionable in the cold light of day, nobody with an IQ greater than their shoe size could fail to see the growing threat from Islamic fundamentalists and the danger they pose to us all.
Simply "letting them get on with it" as so many have posted is no different to letting Germany "get on with it" until they reach the French coastline!
Just read a great book "I am Pilgrim" by Terry Hayes which, though fictional, clearly outlines what could happen ... Worth a read.
Good to see that, after all this time, Ellal is still posting such nonsense and winding everyone up ... Made it an art form

Then announce on here that you hate Muslim fundamentalists and the barbaric actions that they have carried out. Also state that in a civilised world that you enjoy, you do not condone the actions of a third world terrorist organisation that kill their own, let alone people that travel to third world countries to help in the name of peace.

I thought old megatwatt had disappeared, as he's only just started using the forum again after a year's break.
More likely that he's been away having 'treatment'. Appears to have done the trick, as some of his posts seem to make sense.
The reason Assad is being targeted for removal by the West is because he is seen as a threat to Israel, his support for the Palestinians and Hezbollah in Lebanon have made him a prime target for regime change.
What has Israel got to do with Syria?

2% of our oil now comes from the middle east so our vested interests in the middle east in that respect are diminishing fast.
The claim that Assad has to be removed because he is a "brutal dictator" is false as the Americans or British have never had any problems before when it came to doing deals with dictators, Russia and Iran support Syria that is why they are also demonised by western propaganda.
Go back to 9/11 and the "War on terror" nonsense from Bush and Blair, the twin towers were attacked by Islamic fundamentalists with connections to Saudi Arabia, yet who was targeted for regime change , none other than old Saddam who may have been a dictator but he was never a supporter of Islamic fundamentalism in any shape or form, it appears that Saddam was a threat to Israel by his logistical and financial support for Palestinians, so that is why he had to go.
The argument that Western intervention in the middle East is all about oil is only partly true, the main reason for intervention is about security for Israel, if you are a non democratic country in the middle east who are not considered a threat to Israel you can survive but if you are a non democratic country who is considered a threat to Israel you will be targeted with demonising propaganda, sanctions and finally armed overthrow by Western backed proxies.
Jews represent less than 0.01 percent of the entire worlds population yet their acheivements are the highest in the world.
Their are only 14 million Jews in which about 7 million live in Israel.
Their are over 7 billion non Jews in the world.
What has any muslim arab achieved lately?
OOh yes they just cut the heads off another few hundred terrified people today.

Few people have any problem with the Palestinians living in peaceful proximity to Israel.
So voting to recognise a Palestinian State is not a vote for terrorists.
You see the actions that security forces take against terrorists as being actions against the state, country or region where those terrorists are based.
That is what the terrorists want you to see. They hide in and launch attacks from areas of population so that the actions against terrorists can be seen as attacks on peaceful citizens.
