Thermostatic shower not getting hot enough

I have a thermostatic shower which is not getting past tepid temperature. It was fitted a couple of months ago and was OK to start with, but I think that might just be because I live in Madrid and the ambient temperature is much higher in the summer, so the cold water temperature was higher too. I have tried recalibrating it, i.e. removing the knob and setting it as far to the right as possible but it doesn't help. If I turn the hot water temperature up to 60C on the boiler the max shower temperature increases to an OK level, but still nowhere near 60C. If I turn other cold taps on in the building to reduce the cold water flow to the shower it makes no difference, but then again since the water is heated by a gas water heater the flow would also be limited to the hot water intake so perhaps that's why. As far as I can tell the shower is plumber in correctly, not the wrong way around. I also have another thermostatic shower which is almost identical (same brand, very similar model except that it also has a bath filler) which does get hot enough even with the hot water heater set to 50C.

Any ideas what to try next before I get a plumber in?

The online installation guide is not great, this is all I can find.

It is a bimax 1.63.250. I cannot clean the filters as shown in fig. 5 because they are not accessible.

Not sure about Spain but in the UK showers are limited to around 44degc
60deg could cause severe scalding.

I would call back the installer as it is fairly new before doing anything else.

Thanks for your reply. I will talk to the installer but I'm doubtful it will help. I've lost confidence in his plumbing skills since he's been working for me. I will ask him to at least cut the tile away and make the filters accessible though - if he can without doing any damage.

I also emailed the manufacturer some time ago about a separate issue and got no response.

I'm wondering what this black ring is for, any ideas?

Might be a way to adjust temp but in all honesty I don't know

The black ring there is a piece of plastic which attaches onto (and therefore can be taken off) the thermostatic cartridge so it will fit that particular tap set.

I've got one of those at home.

What customers have to realise is that almost all the products on the market are complete shytte, regardless of what they cost or how old they are. I would guess that your plumber tested the shower before he left and that it was working fine, but due to cr@p manufacturing he will be called back as suddenly it is his fault.
