Boiler Service Q

I'm guessing he was using the Kane änalyser. The doughnut just connected it up wrong, so perhaps it is a blessing that he didn't go prodding about īnside your boiler..

That looks fine for a non condensing boiler as your will be.

The photo posted earlier is of a condensing premix boiler.

He obviously only did a flue gas analysis. BG usually do that and call it a Safety check. If its within the expected parameters they don't usually bother to open the case.

Just out of curiosity what are bg's servicing procedures?

Room sealed: Known as a "generic service" - Remove outer case; Brush inside of outer case; visual inspection; Brush debris; FGA, regardless of model; gas rate OR burner pressure; check on laptop for any special notices or instructions. NO TT.
If no FGA possible, or unsatisfactory then complete "strip down" service.
Advise on availability of parts. Ask who there gas supplier is.
Filling details on laptop and paper takes longer than job.
