Wrong code from MAX reader at address 10 by user scanning unregistered tag, or the reader being faulty perhaps.

All tags work fine. All set and unset the system, thing is, when the alarm goes off when I put the code in to the keypad, it won't let me do anything. It's like its frozen ! I have a new one coming soon but I don't understand what's going on with it! Oh and it always happens at night, looking on the comms section everything is 100%...any idea's
Thanks

This is the MAX address for the keyprox at address 10 or 0 on the rotary dial.

I have seen a faulty keypad once that behaved like this - was like the max reader kept spewing codes, then it would eventually cause lock out on the keypad. Are you still seeing ***'s when pressing the code keys, or has it hung totally?

If you get another keypad, just pop off the black screw terminal connector and fit the new keypad to see if that resolves the issue.

The max 3 is the only thing on line 1 data, the other things are on line 2 data. When I put the code in no stars appear. Just says alert in progress. Which is odd as I thought it was alarm in progress, the max address was set when adding it on to the system. Pretty sure the keypad works fine as when the 'wrong cd max 10' all the keys lock out. Only cure is to cut the power. Will add the max 4 tomorrow, new one that will replace the max 3, and see if it does the same thing. I'm guessing it's the max reader that is faulty.
