Hi all,

Never had a need for this, but here goes.

8 weeks ago i moved into my new house. Every night i close the side gate and also the front gate. The next morning now on a couple of occasions I have found the front and side gate wide open, so someone has been snooping.

I believe its the neighbor. We leave the site at random times to sleep in another house while the works are on going, so they know when we are home and not.

What I want is a simple plug and play camera. One that has a 12hr minimum record time and not one that senses motion and then records, just a continuous one. Needs to be decent at night. Then I want to take the memory card out, stick it in my pc and just watch it at 30x speed until i see the transgressor!

Dont want to spend a load of money on this!

Cheers.[/u]

firstly, what do you deem a lot of money? With CCTV you pretty much get what you pay for.

you would be best to have the camera to go back to a recorder.

I could get you a 1080p HD camera and recorder for £340. All you would need is a bit of Cat5 cable as the camera is powered off the DVR. The camera would record continuous and you would back the footage up to usb stick?

you could also then connect the recorder up to your home network and watch it over your phone etc.
