I think a couple of those suggestions are already in place or under consideration.
Slave labour is, apparently, already in existence in this country according to the news programmes.
Scrapping parts of the social welfare programme is something that Call Me Dave has recently announced, at least with regard to EU immigrants. Mind you, he does talk a lot, doesn't he?
So, Ennui, at least two of your suggestions have been adopted, you'll be pleased to know.
And I do agree with you about euthanising prisoners, or at least murderers. I'd suggest traditional hanging.

True, but even more fun would be stocks.
I note there are more lock-ups on Yorkshire than in any other county. I wonder why that should be.
