Boiler packed up last Monday, had the Baxi engineer out last Wednesday, a seal had apparently gone, causing some damage. Now they tell me that they won't have one of the parts in stock until the 16th January. Meantime we are shivering, with no heating or hot water. They say they'll happily come and make the repair if I can find the part(they have all the others), but so far, after calling 5 or 6 places, I've had no luck. The part is a Potterton/Baxi 5114693 Combustion chamber front.
If anyone has any idea where I can find such a part I would be eternally grateful, in fact I'll happily pay a ransom, as we are supposed to have a full house at Christmas, including my 8 month old granddaughter.
The old image I can find for this part number:

Looks like it's just the inner cover(of course that web site could be wrong), but if that IS the part, then there appears to be nothing wrong with it apart from the fact that it needs a new sealing strip. I am concerned that we will be living like cave people for 6 weeks for the sake of a sealing strip.
