Decking on Concrete??

Hi all,

I have a lovely 1970's concrete patio which someone has scratched a lovely pattern in (not!!). I reckon the concrete below goes on for miles so to save a monster job digging this up, can decking be put on top of concrete?

I was hoping it could but when i've seen it on TV a little while ago, they pulled the concrete out and flattened underneath, and then laid it!

Just stick a few bolts into the paving and you be fine.

I laid a weed control membrane over my patio, then rested the decking joists over the top. Nice solid base with no movement.
