New oil Greenstar Boiler

Not in my experience. Well built. Every boiler tested so it works out of the box. New models are easy to install and service. Backed with up with Worcester's first class support and service.

you must be talking of a different boiler to the ones iv fitted recently. 2 had oil pumps leaking like a sieve straight out of the box . boiler case is flimsy and you still have to dismantle the panels etc to make the oil connection. not as bad as the greenstar heatslave 1 but still a pain to fit. [/code]

You do not need to dismantle the panels to make the oil connection on the new ones. Unlike the others the oil pipe is run inside the boiler and there is a bracket to hold the valve in place.

Regards leaking oil pumps that's not Worcester's fault but Reillo's and a problem that affects all UK oil boilers as they have Reillo burners on them.

I know how to fit them  easier to take panel off to fit said oil line. regards pump leak. i dont see riello coming out to fix them . And i bought the product from worcester, Not riello. The fact most boilers use components from other manufacturers like honeywell and giannoni doesn't excuse them from being crap. Not a great fan of riellos anyway. Can get a danfoss pump with coil for around £40. a riello without coil is near double that.

At least we agree on the Reillo pumps I reckon they make them crap so that they can sell lots of overpriced spares.

At least we do :D have to say i do like the heatslave 2. Its best of a bad bunch. Grant are over priced, tend to leak anywhere they can after a few years. And unlike worcester, i found them hit and miss for warranty claims. Again riello burner. Cant think of an oil boiler now that doesnt use them. :(

So which burner has the questioned boiler got in it? Is it a Riello?

Either way the OP should contact the burner maker seeing as the boiler maker is so useless at customer service!

Why is it the boiler maker's problem? OP buys boiler intended to be used in UK and takes it out of the country and runs it on a fuel that it was not intended to be used with.

May be WB have ditched the placky bits on there oil boilers since we last used em

I re-call bits of foam & wire coat hanger type material in em ???

put one of them cleaning bombs in em & they would probably melt ??

:) :)
