Hello All,

We are considering UFH in a property with suspended wooden floor boards. How would it be fitted? I.E. would the floor need to be lowered to accommodate the pipework etc? Obviously it isn't viable to raise the floor by inches as all doors and skirting would need to be replaced and head room would be lost. How is this normally done?

TIA, Jim

Thank you :).

no worries....should have mentioned that I've just fitted it in our cellar conversion where it's running buried in a screed floor. Very easy to lay and then you just screed on top. We were going to install it in the ground floor which is suspended timber with boards on top. Decided not to as it's really hard work if you don't want to take up all the floorboards even if you are doing it from below and there is no ceiling. It's also less effective under wood.
