Hi,

We have an Accenta 8 mini burglar alarm, installed in the mid 90s. Given excellent service over the years and still works well. However the keypad is now wearing out. Can i replace it with any alarm keypad, or does it have to be an Accenta. Or does it have to be compatible with the mini 8. If the latter, would these still be available?

Grateful for any advice. Thanks.

You need to make sure is compatible.

What exactly do you mean by its wearing out?

Hi secureiam

Some of the buttons don't always register ie prog and set buttons or sometimes stay stuck in (if that makes sense). Key pad numbers are very faded too.

Thanks all for your help.

I have looked at the Accenta + keypad and other comments seem to imply that it will work with an older Mini 8.

Is this a DIY job? Is it just a case of disconnecting the old keypad (with the power off of course) and re wiring in the new one. How about the access code?

Thanks

An update.

I bought the Accenta plus keypad (the non LCD version) for £20 off of Amazon and it works perfectly. Very easy to fit. Keypad feels very good quality.

Thak you all for your help.
