The device on com 1 is not working, it can not connect to a service

was this your own install, may be temporary, login in and out again, type code in twice

ComGSM is connected to Com1, could it be the sim card is deactivated or something?

It was installed by a security company, I have tried with the master and engineer code but still the same

it be chargeable if its just the sim card expired from lack of use.

you can check with the mobile company that provides the sim

Get them back to fix it then!
I will give them a ring later on today, do you know if the fault is due to a loose connection or the ComGSM has failed?

I have checked with the mobile network and the sim is still active

I have rang Texecom support today and the staff has trobuleshoot some steps and solved the problem!

He told me to check the aerial signal which is -65 dBm and done a test call which both phones received a SMS therefore he told me to unlink the GSM module and relink it back via the keypad as it may be an error

glad its sorted for you.

normally if the signal is good and your signal is very good, in and out of engineering will clear, looks like they have reset the fault by turning it off and on in the software if done via the keypad, what firmware version was it?

Off the top of my head it was SW 2.0.1

The system alert has came back just now, showing/flashing (System Alert, ATS Path Fault, Com1 Fault, No Signal and No ATS available)

Can someone guide me on how to unlink the ComGSM from Com1 and link it back again as I have forgot how to do it

Just one thing to check depending on the switches inside the gsm unit ! I had one where the tamper switch ( needed stretching) as the switch 1 can disable the comm unit if open , this was pre elite unit and I kept coming up no gsm .

engineering, 7 yes, 8 yes, scroll to com 1, no 0 yes, then back on by no srcoll to select gsm.

have you done a signaln strength reading?
