Hello

I'm looking for a terminal flue guard similar to this one in shape:

http://www.plumbcenter.co.uk/en/heating/flues-chimneys/tower-flue-p131034-44/

Our existing one has a hole burned through it and needs replacing, however it has 4 holes for screws instead of 3. Does anyone know where I can find one with 4 screw holes? It would save us drilling new ones. We need one asap to get a gas safety certificate.

Thanks!

Amy

Because I'm not in the country kidgreen61 so would have to pay someone to do it.

Thanks footprints! it looks like that one might do the trick :D

Bazdaman that's what the boiler service dude said, apparently it's a burn hazard

Yes I did notice it was a solid fuel site but I imagine it would fit a gas appliance as long as it is big enough. I'm sure the suppliers would be able to confirm suitability if you contact them.

there are 3 different sizes in the link you sent so hopefully one of them will fit. thanks again :)

Cheers, mind you if you are not in the country might jut be simpler to ask the gas engineer to supply and fit one as part of the gas cert visit. ;)

They're trying to charge £100 labour for a 5 minute job. I can find someone to screw the thing on the wall but prob not to drill new holes :)

no terminal guard is no reason not to issue a cert the cert still should be issued with it noted down as not to current standard NCS .
In fact other than none payment there is no reason at all not to issue a cert even if its life threatening as this would be noted on cert and appliance turned off /isolated
