hi guys
im wondering whether you guys have come across this problem and what will fix it.
tonight we put the washer on and later went back to it to find it full of water
the display panel shows what cycle it is on then the display goes off again for about 30 seconds and illuminates again for a few seconds the display does not show any fault codes
all advice welcomed

Does it appear to be a fault? Illuminates and goes out then illuminates again, or is that normal?

Possibly a power issue.

Would think an error code would show if drain pump faulty or not draining due to blockage, it would time out.

Personally I would cancel the programme and try a drain only programme.
Let me know what happens.

thanks for your reply yardie

yeah its a fault the display panel shouldnt go out, when it comes back on it shows what program it was on.
ill drainwasher shortly

If the display is faulty, i.e not lighting up again to indicate the wash cycle progress, I would say its a power issue rather than a fault with the lcd display panel.

You will need to access the main control board possibly located at the rear bottom right or top right panel under the lid and either replace or troubleshoot/inspect.

Before disconnecting make a note or photos of where connectors go!

Post photos of component and solder side of the board.

control panel isnt lighting up wot so ever this morning ive done a push pull test on the circuits to ensure proper connection to no avail.
there is 240v goin in at the top left rear to a solenoid looking device which runs down to a ecu at the bottom left next to the motor, ive not tested voltages from the ecu as im not sure what to expect from its numerous outlets is this the control board you talk of.

thanks yardie ill ring hoover on monday and order the part cheer for your help

Would think it would be too costlt direct from Hoover.

Also it has not yet been established that the fault definately lies with this board or have you made a discovery?
